Belarus ready for major deal with US if its interests are respected, says Lukashenko

Belarus is ready to strike a major deal with the United States, provided its interests are taken into account, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said, according to Lenta.ru.

“We are ready to make a big deal with them. On one side of the scale are their questions, requests, and demands; on the other are ours. Shall we resolve it? Let’s resolve it. We are ready for that,” Lukashenko stated.

He stated that Minsk will wait for Washington’s terms for any future deal. He added that he is open to all proposals from U.S. President Donald Trump, but insists that Washington honor its obligations honestly.
