Instagram to use PG-13 rating to restrict content for teens

Teenagers on Instagram won’t be able to change their settings without a parent’s permission, Euronews writes.

When viewing PG-13 content on Instagram, restrictions will be set for teenagers: For those under 13, viewing any content intended for adults will require parental permission.

“This includes hiding or not recommending posts with strong language, certain risky stunts, and additional content that could encourage potentially harmful behaviours, such as posts showing marijuana paraphernalia,” Meta stated.
