Georgian PM cancels meeting with OSCE chairperson-in-office
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has canceled his scheduled meeting with Elina Valtonen, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, who is currently visiting the country as part of a regional tour, Sputnik Georgia reports.
According to a statement released by the Georgian government, “the decision to cancel the meeting was made due to Elina Valtonen’s participation in an illegal rally and the dissemination of false statements.”
A day earlier, Valtonen met with participants of a protest held in front of the Georgian Parliament building in Tbilisi.
Before traveling to Tbilisi, the Finnish foreign minister visited Armenia, where she met with Armenian officials.
