Russia’s offer to host Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal signing remains in place, says Galuzin

Russia’s proposal to provide a platform for the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan remains valid, RIA Novosti writes, referring to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

Galuzin added that Moscow attaches special importance to the normalization of relations between the two countries.

“It is clear that significant work is still needed to implement the planned measures in practice. We are ready to provide Yerevan and Baku with all necessary assistance to overcome remaining disagreements, in accordance with the trilateral statements of the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan,” Galuzin said.

He stated that Russia has played a significant and effective role in the peace process between Yerevan and Baku.

Armenia’s Ambassador to Moscow, Gurgen Arsenyan, also highlighted the contribution of Russian diplomacy to the peace process, describing it as “special.”
