US to increase pressure on Russia if conflict in Ukraine remains unresolved, says Pentagon chief

The U.S. Secretary of Defense has issued new warnings to Russia. Pete Hegseth announced that the United States and its allies will increase pressure on Moscow if the conflict in Ukraine is not resolved, Kommersant.ru reports.

He stated that the U.S. Department of Defense is ready to make “an investment that only the United States can provide.”

“If this war does not end, if peace is not established swiftly, the United States — together with its allies — will take the necessary steps to increase the costs for Russia,” Hegseth said during the NATO Defense Ministers’ meeting at the alliance’s headquarters.
