On July 21, regular political consultations between Armenian
Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan and Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister
Ma Zhaoxu.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic
of China Ma Zhaoxu emphasized that China supports the sovereignty, independence
and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, underscoring that the
settlement of conflicts through peaceful negotiations is the key to maintaining
peace and security in the region. The Armenian side reiterated its support for
the One China principle.
During the consultations, the parties referred to a wide
range of bilateral, regional and global issues, including cooperation within
international organizations.
