‘No to war, yes to peace, please’: Maduro sends message to Trump
During an official event in Caracas, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro delivered a message in English to the U.S. president. This was his response to U.S. military plans to conduct exercises near Venezuela and the growing U.S. pressure in the Caribbean basin, france24.com reports.
“No to war; no to war; no to war; no to this crazy war; yes to peace; please, please, eternal peace; victory; yes, the victory of peace,” Maduro said in English.
His speech was received with applause.
