“Azerbaijan allows the Red Cross to carry out the
transportation of patients, in the process it also allowed the supply of medicine,”
State Minister of Artsakh Gurgen Nersisyan notes, referring to the situation in
Artsakh.
According to the State Minister, all this has always been a
long process.
“Each time they created new obstacles or requested
different information from the Red Cross, and the process lasted up to a week.
Azerbaijan’s ingenuity knows no bounds. We reached a point when Azerbaijan
involved their doctors at the checkpoint and set a condition before the Red
Cross that the patients leaving Artsakh for Armenia should undergo additional
examination at the checkpoint. Moreover, if necessary, the examination can be
combined with the undressing of our citizens,” says Nersisyan.
