
Ukraine launches nearly 200 drones toward Russia with over 30 shot down over Moscow
Between the evening of Oct․ 26 and the morning of Oct․ 27, Russian air defense forces shot down at least 34 drones flying toward Moscow, meduza.io writes, referring to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
There have been no reports of damage or casualties.
Moscow’s two airports, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky, were temporarily closed overnight, with restrictions lifted in the morning.
The Astra Telegram channel, citing subscribers, claimed that explosions occurred near the Kommunarka district in New Moscow during the drone strikes, followed by visible smoke in nearby forested areas.
Overall, Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 193 Ukrainian drones overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated.
