According to the Supreme Court, the establishment of the Putin District Court “aims to ease the judicial workload and improve residents’ access to justice in the district.”
Just days earlier, a new neighborhood in Grozny named after the Russian president was inaugurated. The opening ceremony was attended by Chechnya’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov and Russia’s Minister of Energy Alexander Novak. The inauguration took place on Oct. 7 — Vladimir Putin’s birthday.
