41-year conflict comes to an end: PKK fully withdraws from Turkey
According to reports in the Turkish media, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)—designated as a terrorist organization by Turkey—has completely left the country.
Ermenihaber.am reports that 47 Kurdish militants, escorted by the Turkish Armed Forces and Gendarmerie, departed Turkey from the nearest border crossing, leaving behind their heavy weapons.
This event is described in the Turkish information field as follows: “The 41-year war is ending. The PKK has completely left Turkey.”
Special emphasis is also placed on the fact that this is the first time that the PKK members have not occupied their winter barracks in Turkey.
As noted, the Turkish military is currently conducting relevant studies in shelters abandoned by militants.
