Donald Trump and Xi Jinping hold meeting

U.S. President Donald Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Busan. Following the talks, Trump declined to issue a joint statement and immediately headed to his plane, Reuters reports.

Speaking briefly before the cameras, Trump said he expected a “very productive meeting.”

The discussion between the two leaders lasted one hour and forty minutes.

According to China’s Foreign Ministry, Trump and Xi discussed the development of U.S.–China relations, issues of mutual interest, as well as the situation surrounding the settlement of the war in Ukraine.
