Artsakh NA President: To set up a criminal tribunal for the Azerbaijani authorities, to recognize independence of Artsakh
The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of
Artsakh Artur Tovmasyan drew the attention of the international community and
intergovernmental organizations to the acts of excessive violence and major
crimes against humanity committed by Azerbaijan.
“We call on the international intergovernmental
organizations in charge to launch the process of international recognition of
the Republic of Artsakh, that being the most efficient way to prevent the
genocide and forced displacement of our people from their homeland,” reads
Tovmasyan’s statement.
Artsakh NA President called for the establishment of a
special criminal tribunal for the Azerbaijani authorities on the crime of
creating a modern-day concentration camp in the territory of the Republic of
Artsakh and causing persistent extermination of the indigenous population of
Nagorno-Karabakh.
He is full of hope that the message of the Supreme Body,
elected by the people of Artsakh, will not go unanswered. And the only way to
tackle the above-mentioned problems is the recognition of the independence of
the Republic of Artsakh, based on the concept of “recognition for
salvation”.
