Pashinyan meets with Moldova’s president

As part of the Paris Peace Forum, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, the Armenian government press service reports.

“Prime Minister Pashinyan congratulated President Sandu on her recent victory in the parliamentary elections, wishing her continued success in advancing Moldova’s democratic development agenda.

President Sandu, in turn, congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on the agreements reached in Washington on Aug. 8 and on Armenia’s consistent efforts to establish lasting peace in the region.

The two leaders discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Moldova, as well as issues related to advancing democratic reforms and regional security. They reaffirmed the importance of mutual support in international forums and expressed readiness to expand cooperation.

Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Sandu emphasized the importance of continuous and constructive dialogue,” reads the statement.
