Senior Trump administration officials move to military bases for security reasons
Senior officials in Donald Trump’s administration have begun relocating to military bases for security reasons following the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, The Atlantic writes.
According to the publication, while most officials continue to reside in private homes, there are cases where high-ranking figures — particularly those involved in national security — rent residences on military bases for safety or convenience.
The article notes that Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has vacated her Washington, D.C. residence and moved into a home designated for the U.S. Coast Guard commander after media outlets disclosed her address.
The report adds that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth have also relocated to U.S. military bases.
