Moscow determined to support CIS armies in acquiring modern weapons, says Belousov
Strengthening national armed forces and maintaining regional stability remain key priorities for the defense ministries of CIS member states, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov said, according to TASS.
“We have summarized the results of the military cooperation concept over the past five years. At this stage, our joint efforts have focused on reinforcing national armed forces and preserving regional stability,” Belousov stated following a meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers held in Almaty.
The minister stated that Moscow is determined to assist CIS countries in equipping their armies with modern weapons and stands ready to share the experience gained during the ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine.
