Floating cabin in Greenland listed on Airbnb
In one of the world’s most remote and untouched regions — East Greenland — a floating cabin has appeared on Airbnb, the BBC reports.
“If a polar bear comes you couldn’t be in a safer spot. Just get inside and lock the door,” says Nicco Segreto, the cabin’s owner.
The small green hexagonal cabin is tethered to the shore with two sturdy ropes and an anchor. Isolated from the rest of the world, it features a glass ceiling designed for stargazing and viewing the northern lights.
The cabin accommodates two guests and costs 7,347 Danish kroner (about $1,145) per night, including dinner and breakfast.
Nearby lies a glacial cave that Segreto accidentally discovered 10 years ago. Since then, he has guided around 400 visitors to the site and now plans to open a luxury wilderness retreat there.
