ECHR upholds decision obliging Azerbaijan to ensure passage of patients through Lachin corridor
The European Court of Human Rights upheld its Dec. 21, 2022
decision obliging Azerbaijan to take all measures to ensure safe passage
through the “Lachin Corridor” of seriously ill persons in need of medical
treatment in Armenia and others who are stranded on the road without shelter or
means of subsistence.
The office of the RA representative on international legal
matters reports that with this decision, the European Court of Human Rights
actually reaffirmed the importance of abiding by the Dec. 21, 2022 decision,
considering the current situation, and that Azerbaijan must obey it.
