Miss Universe organizer calls Mexico contestant ‘dumb’, forcing her to leave

Miss Universe 2025 competition host organizer called Mexico’s contestant Fátima Bosch “dumb”, forcing her to leave, MS News reports.

Nawat Itsaragrisil, chairman of the Miss Universe Thailand Host Committee, publicly reprimanded Bosch for not participating in a sponsored photoshoot. The organizer asked the contestant to stand and explain why she had missed the event. Bosch explained that she could not attend due to agreements with her national organization, as such appearances must be pre-approved. Itsaragrisil then called her “dumb” and summoned security personnel.

“To those who do not want to participate — stand up and leave,” the organizer told the other contestants.

Bosch left the stage, followed by several other contestants. Following the incident, the Miss Universe headquarters issued an official statement, apologizing and condemning Itsaragrisil’s behavior.
