Ukraine’s operation to hijack Russian MiG-31 armed with a Kinzhal missile thwarted, says Russia’s FSB
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has foiled a Ukrainian operation to hijack a Russian MiG-31 jet equipped with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile, TASS reports.
According to the report, the pilots had been promised $3 million for their participation.
The MiG-31 was allegedly to be hijacked for a provocation against NATO’s largest air base in Constanța, Romania, the FSB said.
The operation to seize the MiG-31 was reportedly prepared by Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate under the supervision of British intelligence.
