Russia’s Aerospace Forces have struck the Main Radio-Electronic Intelligence Center of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense Main Intelligence Directorate, located in Brovary in the Kyiv region. Strikes were also carried out near the *Starokostiantyniv Airport in Khmelnytskyi region, where F-16 fighter jets are stationed, RIA Novosti reports.

The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) stated that this operation was carried out in response to a Ukrainian intelligence provocation involving the attempted hijacking of a Russian MiG-31 fighter jet. The strikes targeted these locations using Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.

According to the FSB, Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate attempted to recruit Russian pilots by offering them $3 million.
