The diaspora has never been disconnected from the homeland: Western Armenian poet’s collection

From France to the U.S., then Argentina, and back to Europe — he has crossed many borders, both literally and metaphorically.

Khachik Ter-Ghukasian, who grew up in a family that survived the Genocide, has been writing poetry since 1984, and now his first collection has finally reached readers.

The works are in Western Armenian, written in classical orthography, a detail highlighted with particular joy by Ruzanna Arakelyan.
