Peskov says Russia’s foreign intelligence reports never unfounded
The statements issued by Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service are never unfounded, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on intelligence reports claiming that Yerevan intends to purchase wheat from Kyiv, RIA Novosti writes.
Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service alleged that Armenia, for political reasons, seeks to “break away” from Moscow and assist Ukraine by buying part of Kyiv’s wheat at higher prices than it pays for Russian wheat.
Peskov noted that there are many issues on the agenda of Russia–Armenia cooperation.
“You know that high-level contacts are held frequently. We have many issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda. We hope that this cooperation will continue,” Peskov said.
