The State Food Safety Service (SFSS) has conducted tests on flour imported from Russia and Kazakhstan through Azerbaijan.
According to the agency, the testing was carried out in three areas:
1. Plant quarantine tests in accordance with the Customs Union Commission Decision No. 318 of June 18, 2010, on the requirements for plant quarantine within the Eurasian Economic Union;
2. Safety indicator tests in accordance with the Customs Union Technical Regulation 015/2011 on grain safety;
3. Quality indicator tests in accordance with GOST 9353-2016, Wheat: Technical Requirements.
The results so far indicate no harmful organisms were found, and no deviations from the permissible limits for toxic elements, heavy metals, or other substances were detected.
“Laboratory tests on quality indicators are still ongoing. The results will be published once available,” the agency reports.
