About 15,000 children in Yerevan
are now on the waiting list for kindergarten enrollment. Around 8700 children
belong to the senior group. That is, they were expected to graduate in
September. The number of children on the waiting list will amount to 6000 in
the autumn. The majority are children born in 2021, who are waiting for the
nursery group. However, not all kindergartens in Yerevan have a license to have
Nursery groups.
Every parent has the freedom to
enroll their children in the kindergarten they wish. However, on account of
queues, many parents are not able to apply to the kindergartens near their
place of residence or workplace. This causes problems especially for working
parents.
