ICRC representatives visit Armenian POWs in Azerbaijan

In late June and early July, the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) again visited the Armenian POWs kept in Azerbaijan and other detainees, including the two servicemen, arrested recently.

Manager of Communications and Prevention Program of the ICRC Armenia Office Zara Amatuni said this in her meeting with Armenpress.

She stated that they had private meetings with the Armenian POWs. The latter were allowed to communicate with their families.

Under its mandate, the ICRC assesses the treatment towards POWs and the conditions of detention. It facilitates the restoration or continuity of their communication with their families,” noted Amatuni.
