Moscow closely monitoring situation regarding Electric Networks of Armenia and Samvel Karapetyan, says Zakharova

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said during a briefing that Russia is closely observing the situation related to the Electric Networks of Armenia and Samvel Karapetyan.

“Protecting the interests of Russian businesses abroad is one of our priorities. Such issues between Moscow and Yerevan are discussed through intergovernmental channels. We hope that the new management of the Electric Networks of Armenia will be able to present a more effective governance model. But of course, judgments should be based on concrete actions,” Zakharova said.

The Public Services Regulatory Commission recently voted to revoke the license granted by the Electric Networks of Armenia to the Tashir Capital company.
