Russia’s foreign ministry says damage to Azerbaijan’s embassy in Kyiv resulted from Ukraine’s air defense malfunction
The damage caused to the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv is the result of a malfunction in Ukraine’s air defense systems, TASS reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The ministry stated that claims about “targeted missile strikes” on Azerbaijani targets in Ukraine do not correspond to reality.
Russia expressed deep regret regarding the incident involving the Azerbaijan embassy in Kyiv.
In recent days, Russia has used hundreds of drones and missiles, including ballistic missiles, against Ukraine, also causing damage to the Azerbaijani embassy.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev condemned the strike, noting that this is not the first time Russian forces have targeted the embassy building and other Azerbaijan-related sites.
