Galuzin and Mustafayev discuss Russia’s potential role in Armenia–Azerbaijan relations
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Rahman Mustafayev in Moscow to discuss regional issues, including Russia’s potential assistance in normalizing Armenian–Azerbaijani relations, based on the comprehensive trilateral agreements reached at the highest level between 2020 and 2022.
The sides also discussed issues related to maintaining the uninterrupted functioning of the 3+3 regional cooperation platform.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that the trilateral agreements between Baku, Yerevan, and Moscow on establishing a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone remain in force. Russia, in turn, is ready to continue assisting its partners in reaching a mutually acceptable solution. Moscow also expects Baku and Yerevan to promptly decide on the venue for the next ministerial meeting under the 3+3 format, which is expected to be held either in Yerevan or Baku.
