China crowns ‘world’s laziest man’ who lay still for 33 hours

A competition in China has crowned the “world’s laziest man,” The Sun reports. The winner managed to remain motionless for 33 hours.

The contest featured 240 participants, who wore diapers and lay still on mattresses stacked in a shopping center in Baotou.

Participants were allowed to use their phones, read books, order food, and turn over, but sitting up or going to the bathroom was prohibited. A judge monitored adherence to the rules.

The competition began at 10:18 a.m. and ended the following evening at 7:53 p.m. The winner received 3,000 yuan.
