Vance says peace cannot be established with the imaginary perception that ‘if we just give more money, more weapons,’ Ukraine will win
U.S. Vice President JD Vance wrote on X that “there is a fantasy that if we just give more money, more weapons, or more sanctions, victory is at hand. Peace won’t be made by failed diplomats or politicians living in a fantasy land. It might be made by smart people living in the real world.”
According to him, any plan for resolving the conflict between Ukraine and Russia is based on three priorities: stopping the bloodshed while preserving Ukraine’s sovereignty, making the terms acceptable to both Russia and Ukraine, and minimizing the risk of a resumption of war.
To remind, the U.S. administration has developed a 28-point plan to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
