Serzh Sargsyan: I don’t think Oskanyan’s proposal will be accepted, but the situation regarding the Artsakh issue is not hopeless
Third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, in his meeting with journalists in the court’s courtyard, referred to the negotiations with Azerbaijan and Former Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan’s proposals.
“I don’t think that the state of affairs is hopeless. Something can still be done to change the situation. As for the proposals made by Vardan Oskanyan yesterday, I think they sound reasonable and realistic,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
According to him, the best option would be Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation. However, another solution can be found as well.
“A group can be set up, headed by Vardan Oskanyan, on condition that they remain silent and trust the formed group during that time. However, I don’t think that these people are able to reach such an agreement,” the third president said.
To remind, Former Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia stated yesterday that it is possible to save the situation with regard to the Artsakh issue. He noted that he was ready to take responsibility for drastically changing the situation in the negotiation process within two or three months, on condition that Pashinyan remains silent and simply does not speak either in the National Assembly, in the government or anywhere else.
