Excavations of a Bronze/Iron Age fortress in Jradzor, Shirak province, will begin on July 8.
Service for Protection of Historical Environment and Historical Cultural Museums-Reserves SNCO informs that the archaeological works are carried out by the Shirak Armenology Research Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. The expedition is headed by Candidate of Historical Sciences B. Vardanyan.
Chief specialist of the Department of Monument Protection at the SNCO L. Mkrtchyan is also involved in the study and excavation of the monument.
