Birthday party in US ends in shooting killing 3 kids

A child’s birthday party in Stockton, California ended in gunfire, leaving four people dead, including three children, CNN reports.

According to police, the children were 8, 9 and 14 years old. A 21-year-old young man was also killed. Eleven people were injured, including both adults and children.

Law enforcement officials have appealed to the public for any information that could assist the investigation.

Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee confirmed that the shooting occurred during a child’s birthday celebration.
