Washington ‘cuts’ ties with German counterparts, writes The Atlanticzzz

The Pentagon has effectively severed its ties with Germany’s Ministry of Defense, including on matters related to Ukraine, The Atlantic reports, citing German Lieut. Gen. Christian Freuding.

According to the publication, Freuding recalled that he previously sent messages to U.S. military officials “around the clock.” Now, he says, those lines of communication have been “cut.”

The general also noted that the Trump administration did not inform Berlin before halting several arms deliveries to Ukraine. As a result, he had to seek clarification through the German Embassy in Washington.
