Polish foreign minister says Zelensky should have requested meeting with country’s president during visit to Poland
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky would have done well to request a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said on RMF24 radio.
“The crown would not have fallen from Zelensky’s head if he had asked for a meeting at the presidential palace, while passing through Poland,” the diplomat added.
At the same time, Sikorski criticized Nawrocki for his demand directed at the Ukrainian authorities, who had been asked to express gratitude for the assistance Poland provided.
“Such an obsessive demand in a situation where they are fighting for their lives angers me,” Sikorski stated.
Earlier reports indicated that Poland seeks to expand the EU-3 group to participate in peace talks on the Ukraine issue.
