Riots continue in France; Dozens arrested
On the sixth night of ongoing riots in France, 78 people were arrested, 20 of them in Paris. This is a small number compared to the previous days. Clashes between protesters and the police also erupted in Lyon.
The protesters threw stones at the law enforcement officers. The police used tear gas in response.
The protests in France started on June 27 after the killing of a 17-year-old citizen by the police in one of the suburbs of Paris. After the incident, protesters took to the streets in different cities. More than 1300 cars were burned, 234 buildings were set on fire.
