Zelensky admits Ukraine currently lacks conditions to reclaim Crimea or join NATO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reiterated his long-standing position that Ukraine would like to reclaim Crimea and join NATO, but acknowledged that conditions for either are not currently in place, pravda.com.ua reports.

“We are fully aware that neither the U.S. nor several other countries, frankly, yet see Ukraine as part of NATO. And Russia, of course, will never see us there,” Zelensky said.

“And today, regarding Crimea, we do not have the strength to fully restore our Ukrainian Crimea peninsula.”
