Davit Khazhakyan: Bus fares will go up, reaching 150 drams

The Yerevan Municipality has decided to put up bus fares in
the near future. Bright Armenia Party Deputy Leader Davit Khazhakyan made a Facebook
post on this.

As noted, bus fares will rise from 100 to 150 drams.

“Well, of course, they will say prices, in general, have
gone up, thus transport costs should increase as well. But even if the costs
increase, people should not be left waiting at bus stops, the bus routes should
not be as long as they are now, and buses should not be jammed as they are
now,” Khazhakyan said, adding that he has some reservations about this and
believes that it is possible to keep the old fare and carry out a comprehensive
reform.
