Azerbaijan and Armenia have voted in favour of resolution affirming Palestinians’ right to self-determination

The United Nations General Assembly adopted by an overwhelming majority a resolution affirming the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, including the creation of an independent state.

A total of 164 countries voted in favour of the resolution, including Armenia and Azerbaijan.

8 countries voted against it, including Israel and the United States, while nine abstained.
