NATO plans to appoint new South Caucasus special representative

NATO plans to appoint new South Caucasus special representative

Belgium is a founding member of both the European Union and NATO, and views both organizations as extremely important pillars of its foreign policy, which also play a significant role in its relations with Azerbaijan, Belgium’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Julien de Fraipont, said in an interview with Azerbaijan’s APA news agency.

“We fully support the agenda of deepening relations with the European Union and NATO,” the ambassador said.

“I believe that NATO plans to appoint a new special representative for the South Caucasus in the near future, and we see this as a good opportunity to further develop relations,” he added.
