Board of Peace established, Greenland issue ‘practically resolved,’ according to Davos forum results
The Board of Peace has been established, and the issue of Greenland is practically resolved, according to preliminary results from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Kommersant reports.
The publication states that Donald Trump promised the new international body will not replace the United Nations. Additionally, reports from Switzerland indicate that the world’s largest island will not come under US control. However, the United States will be able to expand its military presence there as much as possible. This information still requires clarification.
Trump signed the statute of the Board of Peace, which was also signed by leaders of 18 other countries, who agreed to join the organization. Among the participants were Hungary’s PM Viktor Orbán, Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.
As noted, it is clear that the United States will hold a controlling stake, and Donald Trump will continue to lead the organization even after leaving office.
The Board of Peace will operate not only in the Gaza Strip but also in other regions. Meanwhile, Norway, Denmark, and France have officially refused to join the organization.
