
Trump and Aliyev highlight importance of regional connectivity, cooperation, and trade under TRIPP, US embassy says
The US Embassy in Azerbaijan issued a statement noting that US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met in Davos on Jan․ 22 to discuss US–Azerbaijan relations and regional peace.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the agreements reached at the Aug․ 8 summit and emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation.
“The leaders highlighted progress in ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus, as well as the importance of regional connectivity, cooperation, and trade within the framework of the TRIPP initiative,” the statement said.
