World’s first factory of joints for humanoid robots opens in China

A Chinese company has launched the world’s first automated production line for robot joints, South China Morning Post writes.

The plant, based in Pudong, Shanghai, opened last Wednesday with an annual capacity of 100,000 units, with scope to triple output.

The company said it is expanding production to remain competitive in the market as demand for humanoid robots grows.
