Iran’s foreign minister says in Turkey US has never acted in good faith

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan that the events in the region are the result of illegal interventions by certain powers from outside the region.

“The Israeli regime is attempting to weaken the countries of the region through various schemes. Its intention and desire to provoke war have never diminished,” Araghchi said.

Regarding the United States, Araghchi added: “Our past experience has consistently shown that the United States has never acted in good faith. Nevertheless, Iran remains ready to engage in all diplomatic processes. We support a negotiation process that will be lawful, rational, fair, honest, and respectful of our legitimate rights.”
