All EU ambassadors summoned to Iran’s foreign ministry

All EU ambassadors in Tehran have been summoned to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the ministry’s spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said during a press briefing.

Baghaei noted that summoning the European ambassadors is the minimum response to the EU’s decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. He added that further measures will be taken in this regard.

“We are discussing multiple retaliatory steps and have developed several options. These options have been presented to the decision-making authorities. A decision on measures in response to the EU’s illegal and mistaken decision could be made in the coming days,” Baghaei said.
