8th-grader in Krasnoyarsk sets classmate ablaze using gasoline

An eighth-grade girl in Krasnoyarsk brought gasoline to her school and set a classmate on fire, gazeta.ru reports.

The incident left the boy with second- and third-degree burns on his back and face. Authorities say his life is not in danger.

Other media outlets report that five more people were injured. Witnesses said the girl set the entire class on fire. Footage from the scene shows that the children were evacuated from the building.

The underage girl has been arrested. A hammer was found in her bag. The exact motive for the incident has not been disclosed.
