Hajiyev says TRIPP creates favorable opportunities to strengthen links between Caspian and Balkan regions
Azerbaijan and Serbia play an important role in enhancing interregional connectivity, Azerbaijani Presidential Assistant and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev wrote on X.
“Azerbaijan and Serbia, as strategic partners and rising middle powers, also play a significant role in interregional cooperation. Azerbaijan is located in the South Caucasus and the wider Caspian region, while Serbia is in the Balkans. The ‘Zangezur Corridor,’ or the TRIPP initiative, creates favorable opportunities to strengthen ties between the Caspian/Central Asian and Balkan regions,” Hajiyev stated.
