Biden signs into law record defense expenditure of over $886 billion
The White House reports that U.S. President Joe Biden signed
a law on national defense authorization on Dec. 22. The law provides for record
defense expenditure of over $886 billion for fiscal year 2024.
In a statement, Biden welcomed the adoption of the Act,
which “provides the critical authorities we need to build the military required
to deter future conflicts, while supporting service members and their spouses
and families who carry out that mission every day”.
