Tiran Khachatryan: Hayakve will help keep the Artsakh issue open

Tiran Khachatryan: Hayakve will help keep the Artsakh issue open

Since 1989, there have been valid grounds for the
reunification of Artsakh with Armenia. Thus, now giving it all up means closing
this chapter once and for all. Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the
RA Armed Forces Tiran Khachatryan said this during today’s protest in support
of the Hayakve initiative outside the National Assembly.

According to him, the Hayakve initiative can never be
irrelevant, because in view of the policy this government is pursuing in
relation to Artsakh and to its cession, it is this very initiative that leaves
the issue open.

“Hayakve will help keep the Artsakh issue open so that in
the future, it can be settled through negotiations or — if we have the
opportunity — by force,” Khachatryan noted, adding that the actions of the
Armenian authorities were undoubtedly aimed at ceding Artsakh.
